Beatcritique is not a typo!

It is a seasonal competition run by us, here at Betcritique. We want to find out who is the best tipster for the English Leagues and we are prepared to pay to find out who that is.

Each match day there will be a “One from each league” post. To enter all you have to do is tip one team from each league to win their game, and post that list in the comments thread before any of the matches kick-off.

At the end of the season we will see who is the best tipster!

Tipsters will be ranked according to profit and accuracy.

Profit is based on the assumption that £5 has been staked on the selection. Because the odds vary we will be using Betexplorer.com which provides average odds for each match.

Accuracy is based on the following calculation

Your Accuracy – Implied Accuracy of the Odds = Betcritique rating.

The implied accuracy is calculated from the average odds of all of your selections.

To stop people just entering once and managing to get a 100% selection, we have a minimum participation qualification. To win a prize you must select “One from each league” no fewer than 20 times.

If there is a tie, then the number of entries will act as a tie break, the person with the most entries will win.

We reserve the right to amend these simple rules if necessary and without notice to keep the spirit of the competition alive.
